Field mappings¶
Field Mappings decide which values are filled, overwritten and sent, in each direction. Open the store, click Configuration, then Field Mappings.
Each row is one value with four switches. The Shopify rows are: Product Name / Title, Product Description (HTML), Store Status (Active / Draft), Handle (product URL), Sales Channels, Category / Product Type, Price, SKU, Barcode, Track Inventory, Vendor, Tags, Variant Weight, Variant Cost, HS Code, Country of Origin, and for customers Customer Name, Customer Email, Customer Phone, Customer Addresses and Customer Note.
| Switch | When it applies |
|---|---|
| Import | Filled when an import creates a product in Odoo. |
| Update on Import | Overwritten on existing Odoo products at each import. Needs Auto Update Product. |
| Export | Sent when a product is first created on Shopify. |
| Update on Export | Sent again with Update on Store, and marks the product Needs Update when it changes in Odoo. |
Rows with their own rules
Price, category, SKU, barcode, title, description, status and handle follow their own settings (see Product settings); their rows only switch them on or off. Greyed switches are needed by the connector and cannot be changed.
Customer rows
The customer rows (name, email, phone, addresses, note) apply when Update Existing Customers is on (see Customers).
