Install the modules¶
Shopify Connector comes with eCommerce Connector Core. Both folders must be in your Odoo addons path; you install only Shopify Connector, and Odoo installs the core with it.
Before you start¶
- Odoo 19, Community or Enterprise.
- Odoo reachable on a public HTTPS address, e.g.
https://erp.yourcompany.com. Shopify sends the store approval and its events to this address. - The Python package
requests(included in standard Odoo installations).
Install¶
- Add the folders
ec_ecom_odoo_coreandec_shopify_odoo_connectorto your project's repository and push the branch. - When the build is ready, open the database and go to Apps.
- Remove the Apps filter, search Shopify Connector and click Activate.
- Copy the folders
ec_ecom_odoo_coreandec_shopify_odoo_connectorinto a folder of your addons path. - Restart Odoo.
- Switch on the developer mode, go to Apps and click Update Apps List.
- Remove the Apps filter, search Shopify Connector and click Activate.
A new Shopify app appears in the Odoo menu, with Dashboard, Sales, Products, Activity and Configuration.
Check Odoo's address
Odoo builds the address Shopify returns to from its own address (Settings › Technical › System Parameters ›
web.base.url). It must be the public HTTPS address of the database, not localhost or an internal IP.
Give your team access¶
Go to Settings › Users & Companies › Users, open a user and choose their Shopify access:
| Access | What the user can do |
|---|---|
| User | Work with the Shopify stores: dashboard, orders, products, sync jobs and logs. |
| Administrator | Everything a User can do, plus connect stores, change their configuration and see the secret key and access token. |
The administrator of the database gets Administrator at installation.
